Many of us wore these in the 70's and 80's but now they are impossible to find.  Our new reproduction is based on the Australian pattern, which has 3 inch wide belt loops as an added convenience.  Still retains the distinctive leg pocket as well as two flapped back pockets.

US General Purpose Strap (Original)
This is the adjustable strap with a snap hook on each end that replaced the musette bag strap, and was also used with the G.P. ammo bag. These were adopted in 1944 and were probably all O.D. Mine are unissued, Korean War dated, O. D.
