UK P08 Webbing Sets (Package)

The P08 Webbing Set includes a P08 Belt, P08 Braces, a P08 Entrenching Tool Head Carrier, a P08 Small Pack, P08 Khaki Web Ammo Pouches, a P08 Water Bottle Carrier, and a P08 Bayonet Frog and Entrenching Tool Halve Carrier. These components form a complete package. The ammunition pouches feature pockets and dividers woven together in one piece. This construction differs from other reproductions which often have these elements sewn together.

These sets are an improvement over previous runs made several years ago. They feature heavier, tighter webbing and improved brass fittings. The webbing quality is very good and has a nice shade of khaki.

The water bottle carriers are consistently tight, making it difficult to close them with a water bottle in place. The entrenching tool helve straps and bayonet carriers are also frequently too small to fit original bayonet scabbards or helves. Some carriers do not fit any of the common SMLE bayonets.

The webbing can be adjusted to achieve a better fit, though some components may require modification. The entrenching tool helve and bayonet carriers often need creative resewing or cutting to accommodate bayonet scabbards and helves. Attempting to stretch wet fabric can cause stitching to rip out.

The webbing can be washed to remove a too-crisp look, but care should be taken to avoid shrinkage. One method to correct an undesirable orange cast after washing is a good soak in mud followed by a cold rinse. The webbing can be set in the sun to dry.
