UK Mk VI Water Bottles (Blue)

The Mk VI water bottle was adopted in 1903 and was officially replaced in 1939. It continued in use throughout WWII, making it suitable for both WWI and WWII impressions. It is an early WWI replica. The shape of the top is reminiscent of earlier British canteens.

The water bottle is solid and well-made. The blue enamel is nicely applied, though it is darker than some original examples. The felt cover is stitched well on most bottles.

Most water bottles come with a cork. Some bottles have a small loop for a cork string, which is often buried under the felt. One bottle arrived without a cork.

The cork fit is inconsistent; some corks fit like a glove, while others are oversized. One bottle had a cork that fit well and kept water contained. Another bottle had an oversized cork.

The khaki felt cover is stitched perfectly on some bottles. However, some covers are poorly stitched, and the material may be synthetic wool. The khaki colour of the cover is not always the same as uniforms.

The water bottle is very clean inside, with no rust or particles visible during initial cleaning. It is suitable for drinking from. There are no hygiene issues with the bottle.
