UK DPM Patrol Cap

This reproduction is practically indistinguishable from an original when placed side-by-side. The fabric, lining, and DPM print are top-notch and match original 1968 DPM smocks perfectly. Only the meshed vents have a slightly different pattern compared to originals. It is authentic enough to easily pass for an original.

The cap is well-made with rugged construction. Construction is top-notch and very well done. One cap had a small area where the stitching had partially missed its mark. This was easily remedied with a needle and thread.

The peak of this reproduction cap does not contain the cardboard filling found in original versions. This design avoids the issues associated with the original's peak. The cap is a great reproduction of the classic "crap hat" without the awful cardboard-filled peak.

The caps tend to run small, so it is advisable to go up at least one size, or even two. For example, a size 58 can fit more like a 57.5. Ordering two sizes up from a normal head size has resulted in a good fit.

The DPM print is absolutely top-notch. The DPM camo matches original 1968 DPM smocks perfectly. The pattern is a match for other DPM items.

This reproduction cap allows individuals with head sizes larger than a size 7 to complete their 68 pattern uniforms. Size 61 is available and fits those who normally wear 60-61. Original period caps often have a maximum size of 7.
