This is a replacement scabbard for an 1882 pattern (or later) Scottish basket hilt. Earlier styles of Scottish swords will not fit this scabbard. While functional and smart-looking, the construction appears to be faux-leather as opposed to real leather. It still beats the heck out of the solid metal original scabbard that my sword came with!
