Amazingly fast shipping given point of origin in the Middle East! Very good reproduction of original issue, though the wool lining and outer shell material are a bit lighter in weight than original issue (I have a pre-war issue model). However, not a detraction, lighter weight overall does not take away from look, style or warmth of coat, probably means it will wear better over time as well. Hard to beat WPG repros, I've purchased other items, all first class!!

What a great coat! Heavier than I expected (a good thing)! I wanted this to fit over the new Parson's jacket and upon advice from Wajeed ordered two sizes up from my normal size. Bingo! Perfect fit for sleeve length and mobility. The body is still a bit large but the belt takes care of the waist very well.
I tried it on with long john top, wool shirt and a heavy sweater and it fits the same. Not large enough for shirt, sweater and jacket but I'm not going to Siberia.
Another winner in my book!

I received my WPG Mackinaw coat today, and it is a most fantastic coat. I am so incredibly impressed my the workmanship and construction. As some other reviews stated, I ordered one size up, and I fits perfectly over my M1943 uniform. I am a very happy customer, and will definitely wear this outside of the re-enactment sphere during cooler weather.

I had Mackinaw a few years ago from another retailer, and WPG's is SO much nicer! It fits perfectly (I normally wear a 44, and that's what I ordered). Also, the sleeves are roomy, but not too big. This was definitely a good buy.

Get one size up to leave room for bulky layer or sweater.

The OD blanket lining has the right wool feel, but is thinner than an actual blanket, so functions more as windshell rather than a stand alone overcoat.

I waffled on sizing until the 48's ran out. I am usually a 44L and often sleeves on regular pieces are too short. I was pleased that when my 44 showed up, it fit perfectly. It does have a bit of a slim fit, however, which makes it look sharp but will keep you from doing a lot of layering--my (beautiful, BTW) M1905 rollneck sweater doesn't fit underneath, for example.

I was sitting on the fence for such time over purchasing this coat. I agree it isn't the 'sexiest' item, but upon opening the parcel, and immediately trying it on, I was sold!

This by far is my favorite coat. In my opinion it goes well with a sweater and a pair of jeans. I'm in no way a reenactor, I simply think that the gear produced by WPG is stylish, and more importantly - functional. The pockets on this coat can comfortably cellphones, etc.

I took the advice and ordered a size larger, I'm a 48R, the 50R is ordered is a perfect fit.

The best part of all, it took three days to deliver from UAE to the West coast of Australia! the warehouse manager, Wajed, is a joy to deal with. in the meantime, I'll methodically work my way and create a wishlist of future purchases from WPG.
